David graduated in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Huddersfield. He worked in marketing and graphic design for several years before realising in 2007 that teaching was his true calling. He initially qualified as an EAL teacher. He has mainly taught in Lower Prep and then followed his love of mathematics by becoming Head of Primary Maths. David is passionate about educational research and in 2020 he gained a masters degree with distinction, in international education. He likes to keep up to date with educational trends from the UK and around the world by being an active member of several teaching and learning associations such as: the Chartered Institute of Teaching, Mathematical Association and ATM.
David is married with two children who keep him very busy. His main passion outside of school is listening to music and watching sport. He loves eating and trying new food, as well as trying to bake bread and make pizza.
