Catherine worked as a tax consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers(PwC) before following her passion and switching to a career in education. Her cross-subject education background, professional attitude and lifelong learning helped her grow from teaching to management. She was the founding academic principal for Early Years at two top bilingual schools in Shanghai, where she oversaw curriculum development and staff training. Both schools achieved excellent academic outcomes even from the founding year. Catherine holds very high standards for her team and herself. She is always willing to inspire people around her to achieve their best potential.

When studying at Beijing Normal University, Catherine gained the first grade international scholarship and was sent to EWHA Womans University in South Korea as an exchange student for one year. She finished her post graduate learning of teaching Chinese as a second foreign language at Beijing Foreign Studies University in 2020 and started her master's degree in applied educational leadership at UCL shortly thereafter.

Catherine is a huge fan of history and comparative culture. She spends most her leisure time reading and travelling. She also enjoys sports, board games and escape rooms.
