Mark Wright
Senior Deputy Head of Primary School
Mark started his teaching career in a junior school in the south of England, teaching across Key Stage 2 for four years. After eight years teaching in the UK, Mark decided to take his young family to live and teach in Qatar, initially to teach year 2 and then Early Years Foundation Stage. As well as being a pastoral middle leader at the school he was a swimming coach and led a large number of pupils through their Silver International Award. Mark went to Portsmouth University to study human geography and then completed his PGCE at The University of St. Mark and St. John in primary education. Outside school, Mark is kept busy by his two young girls, Mia and Sophie, who also attend Wellington College International Shanghai and will be found in the Pre-Prep. Mark likes to train and compete in triathlons whenever he can. He also loves to play and watch all kinds of different sports, particularly football, and is a massive fan of Arsenal FC.
