Co-Curricular activities (CCAs)
Wellington's co-curricular activities (CCA) programme provides an exciting opportunity for pupils to explore new activities, cultivate new interests and develop a variety of skills. Many CCAs are run across a range of year groups, allowing pupils to connect and make friends with children of different ages.
Activities are offered within three broad categories: sports, the arts and clubs and societies. Pupils can participate in selected activities such as sports teams, competitions, performances and clubs and societies like Model UN, Science Olympiads and chess. All activities are provided by Wellington staff or, where appropriate, specialist external vendors.

Pre-Prep
CCAs for pupils in years 1 and 2 take place at 2:45pm on Tuesdays and children go home at the normal time.
Lower Prep
We recommend all pupils in years 3 do a maximun of two CCA each week. Year 4 and 5 pupils should do a minimum of two CCAs each week.
Upper Prep
We recommend pupils in Upper Prep do a minimum of two CCAs each week
Senior School
We recommend pupils in year 9 and 10 do a minimum of two CCAs each week. Years 11 to 13 will be advised which CCAs will best complement their academic study.
Try-outs and Auditions
Some activities such as sports teams and drama productions are selective, and try-outs or auditions will be held.
Affiliated CCAs
Wellington is also affiliated with quality providers who offer paid programmes such as equestrianism, rock climbing and archery. These take place during CCA time but happen off-site. The providers pick the pupils up from school, and parents must pick them up from the external venue when the activity ends.
