Wellington College Arts Festival 2017

13-27 March 2017 Wellington College International Shanghai has recently conducted its third annual celebration of the creative arts through a dedicated week of workshops, talks, performances and productions. Built around the theme of film, its most recent Arts Festival introduced pupils to a wide range of different artistic ideas and disciplines, via the talents of professional actors and storytellers, stand-up comedians, photographers and even film directors, who were flown in from all over the world. The pupils were also encouraged to discover new activities that inspire them to present their creative side with confidence and self-belief. This year’s festival also presented an ideal opportunity for the parents to be inspired as they are invited to participate in many of the truly unique and intriguing artistic experiences on offer. The activities in 2017 included:
  • Eden Ballantyne – Storytelling
  • Roxanne Browne – Harry Potter workshops
  • Claire Downes - Acting for camera
  • Paul Farley – Poetry
  • Jane Hewitt – Photography
  • Kirk Jones - Directing films
  • Alex Milway – Storytelling
  • Logan Murray – Stand-up comedy
  • Round Midnight – Drama
