Wellington College Arts Festival 2018

29 October-3 November 2018

ZOOM is an ambitious and unique, one-off performance. An exciting, original multi-media event created specifically for Wellington’s Arts Festival by renowned artists from the UK. The performance is built around the words of UK’s leading poet, Simon Armitage, and set to specially commissioned music by award-winning composer and musician, John Harle. ZOOM involved every pupil from year 4 to year 13 as a 700-strong choir, backing the speakers and musicians who presented this unique collaboration between word and music. In addition, a light show, devised by the sound architect Richard Scott, added to the atmosphere and performance.
