8th Place for Wellington Swim Squad in RSS Long Course Champs

Wellington Swim Squad performed extremely well in the RSS Shanghai Long Course Swim Meet, with 51 swimmers competing across years 3 to 13. The meet took place in the 50-metre Olympic swimming pool at the Oriental Sports Centre, Shanghai. More than 40 clubs and 1000 swimmers were drawn together from schools all over Asia to participate in this high level meet. By the end of a long day of high level competitive swimming, Wellington's squad had achieved the following medals:   Agnes: 2 gold, 1 silver Jade: 2 gold, 1 bronze Nicolas: 2 gold, 1 bronze Thierry: 1 gold, 2 silver Tommaso: 1 silver, 2 bronze Aimee: 2 silver Zoe: 1 silver, 1 bronze Isabella: 1 silver 1 bronze Ettore: 1 silver   A special mention goes to Agnes, who finished 3rd position overall in her age group.   Wellington Swim Squad came 8th out of 42 schools and clubs, which demonstrates just how much the excellent training, persistence and hard work of our swimmers and coaches throughout the whole year has paid off.
