Head of Year 7 & Teacher of Physics & House Coordinator

Braden Long comes to Wellington after 21 years of teaching in America at a junior boarding school, called Rectory School.  At Rectory, Braden most recently taught physics for the past 11 years.  Braden has also taught physical sciences and Earth science.  Braden was also the dean of boys and director of residential life for a few years. Braden coached cross-country, basketball, and lacrosse throughout his tenure at Rectory.  Braden was a dormitory parent for 16 years of boys aged 11 through 16. Braden completed his undergraduate work at the University of New Haven.  Braden first joy of his life is spending time with his wife, Chen, and their daughter, Lilian.  He also enjoys hiking, basketball, lacrosse, and watching sports.  Braden hopes to engage student in learning and open doors for students at Wellington College.
